This page is for a reader who wants the whole journey in one place: where a person comes from, what happens at death and in the grave, the Day of Resurrection, and the final abodes. It follows the order in which the Qur’ān and the ḥadīth describe the stages. Every verse is shown below with Tanzil’s Arabic and its meaning in the edition the app uses, and every narration is named by its collection and number in the list at the end, so that you can open it yourself. Under some verses the page also shows the notes of that edition; they are the edition’s words, not this page’s, and this page has not checked them. This page is written and checked by AI and no scholar has reviewed it. It gives no ruling and no verdict on any person; for your own circumstances, ask a scholar. A way to send a correction is to follow.
Before this life
The sources speak of what Allah ordained before creation. A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim says that Allah ordained the measures of the creation fifty thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2653b). The verses on being tested, below, say that life and death were created to test which of you is best in deeds.
The Qur’ān also speaks of a covenant, in which the descendants of Adam were made to testify about themselves.
172. Oo (xus) markuu Rabbigaa ka soo saaray ilma Aadam dhabarradooda durriyadooda oo uu uga markhaati dhigay nafahooda: Miyaan Anigu ahayn Rabbigiin? Waxay yidhaahdeen: Haayoo! Markhaati baan ka nahay. Waa si aydaan u odhan Maalinta Qiyaamaha: Waxaan Innagu ahayn kuwo arrinkani moogganaa.
The edition’s note on this verse calls it the pledge of innate nature. This page adds nothing to the verse and the note about how the testimony was given. The verse gives its own reason: so that people should not say on the Day of Resurrection that they were unaware of this.
On the spirit (rūḥ), the Qur’ān says that people ask about it, and gives the answer.
85. Waxay wax kaa weydiin Ruuxda; Dheh: Ruuxda waa amar xagga Rabbigay (oo Isagaa u Cilmi leh). La idin kama siin (dadow) cilmiga wax yar ma ahee.
The verse’s answer is that the spirit is of the affair of the Lord, and that people have been given only a little knowledge. This page says nothing more of what the spirit is.
The womb
The Qur’ān describes stages in the creation of the human being.
12. Waxaan dhab ahaan ka abuurnay Aadmiga wax laga soo soocay dhoobo.
13. Dabeeto ka yeellay (ka abuurnaa ilmaha Aadam) dhibic mani ah ku sugnaata gunta meel aamin ah (riximka).
14. Markaasaan ka abuurnaa dhibicdaa xinjir, kana abuurnaa xinjirta cad yar oo hilib ah, kana abuurnaa cadkaa hilibka lafo, waxaana huwinnaa lafahaa hilib, markaasaan ka unugnaa abuur kale. Ee waxaa barako iyo khayr Badan Allaah, Kan u Wanaagsan abuurayaasha [3].
[3]. Kan ugu farsamo wanaagsan ee ah abuuraha Keliya ee Runta ah.
A narration of Ibn Masʿūd, reported by al-Bukhārī and Muslim, says that the creation of each of you is gathered in the mother’s womb for forty days, then becomes a clot for a like period, then a lump of flesh for a like period; then an angel is sent and is ordered to write four things: the person’s provision, lifespan, deeds, and whether they will be wretched or blessed. In al-Bukhārī’s narration the spirit is breathed into the person after this (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3208; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2643a). The same narration warns that a person may do the deeds of the people of one abode until there is only a cubit between them and it, and then what was written overtakes them.
Birth, and the *fiṭrah*
30. Ee u jeedi wejigaaga toos diinta adigoo aan ka iilan, waa abuurista (wanaagsan) uu Alle ku beeray dadka. Waa inaysan jirin beddelaad uunka Alle (iyo diintiisa), sidaa uu (kugu amray) baa ah Jidka Toosan, dadka badankiisuse ma ay oga.
The edition’s note explains the word fiṭrah as the natural inclination to worship one’s Lord. A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī says that every child is born on the fiṭrah, and that his parents then turn him from it (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1358).
The Qur’ān says that no one bears another’s burden, and that Allah does not punish until He has sent a messenger.
15. Qofkii hanuuna, wuxuu u hunuunay naftiisa. Kii lumaana [9], wuxuu uun u lumay naftiisa. Ma qaaddo nafi, denbi naf kale, oo ma cadaabno cidna jeer aan soo dirno Rasuul (u diga).
[9]. Kaddib markaan kala tusnay labada dhabbood kan khayrka iyo kan sharka, waxaan uga dhignay mas’uul kan uu dooran iyo ka talinta aayahiisa.
This page does not say how the verse applies to a particular child who died young, or to a particular person the message never reached; for that, ask a scholar. The Qur’ān says that no soul will be wronged on the Day (21:47, below).
This life: a test, and a record
2. Ee ah Kan abuuray geeri iyo nololba, si uu idiin imtixaano kiinna idiinku camal wanaagsan. Waana Adkaadaha sare, Denbi Dhaafka Badan.
56. Uma aan abuurin jinka iyo insiga waxaan ahayn inay i caabudaan [10].
[10]. Macnaha Alle Keliya caabudaan iyagoon cidna wax la wadaajin.
The Qur’ān says that every person has angels watching and recording, and that not a word is uttered without a watcher present.
17.Markay labada qorayaal (malaa’igta wax qoreysa) ku kulmi, iyagoo ka kala fadhiya dhinaca midig, iyo dhinaca bidix (ee qofka).
18. Ma jiro eray (aadmiga) ka soo baxa, oo uusan ag joogin ilaaliye (malag) u diyaar ah (inuu qoro).
10. Waxaana xaqiiq korkiinna ah (oo idiin xil saaran malaa’ig) gaar idinka haya.
11.Sharaf leh, qoraya (acmaashiinna),
12. Ogsoon wax kastoo aad fashaan.
On repentance, 39:53 says not to despair of Allah’s mercy, for Allah forgives all sins, and 4:18 says that repentance is not for those who commit evil deeds until death approaches one of them and he then says “Now I repent”, nor for those who die as disbelievers.
53. Dheh: Addoomahaygow ku xad-gudbay nafahooda, ha ka quusannina Naxariista Alle. Alle wuu dhaafaa denbiyada oo dhan [11]. Hubaal Alle waa Denbi Dhaaf Badanaha, Naxariista Badan.
[11]. Waa waxaan ahayn qofkii ku dhinta shirki ama gaalnimo.
18. Uma furna tawbad kuwa isaga sii socda xume falidda ilaa markay geeri u timaaddo midkood uu yidhaahdo: Hadda ayaan tawbad keen ahay, iyo kuwa dhinta iyagoo gaalo ah midna. Kuwaas waxaan u diyaarinnay cadaab xanuun badan.
A narration in Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī says that Allah accepts the servant’s repentance until the soul reaches the throat; al-Tirmidhī calls it ḥasan gharīb (Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī 3537). The edition’s note on 39:53 says that the only unforgivable sin is dying in disbelief in Allah or associating others with Him, and refers to 4:48, which says that Allah does not forgive associating partners with Him and forgives anything less than that for whom He wills.
48. Alle ma dhaafo in cid wax lala wadaajiyo, wuu se u dhaafaa waxa aan intaa ahayn qofkuu doono; qofkiina Alle wax la wadaajiya cibaadada, wuxuu been abuurtay denbi weyn [34].
[34]. Nabigu s.c.w. wuxuu yidhi: Alle wuxuu ku odhan qofka ugu cadaab fudud naarta gudaheeda. Haddii aad leedahay waxa arlada korkeeda ah oo dhan ma u bixin lahayd madax furasho ahaan si aad naftaada uga xoreyso Naarta? Wuxuu odhan? Haa. Markaasuu Alle kor ahaaye wuxuu ku odhan: Adigoo ku jira dhabarka Aadam, waxaan kaa dalbay wax taa wax badan ka yar : inaadan cidna iigu shariik yeelin cibaadada, waxaadse ku adkeysatay shirkiga (inaad ila wadaajiso cid kale cibaadada). w.w.Al-Bukhaari.
On deeds and mercy, a verse reports what the angels say to those whose souls they take in a state of purity.
32. Kuwa ay malaa’igtu oofsato iyagoo ku sugan xaalad wanaagsan iyagoo ku odhan: Nabad korkiinna ha ahaato: Gala Jannada waxaad (samo) fasheen darteed.
A narration says that none enters Paradise by his deeds alone, and when the Prophet ﷺ was asked whether this included him, he said that it did, unless Allah covered him with His mercy (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5673; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2816a). Both are in the sources, and this page does not reconcile them.
Death
11. Dheh: Waxaa idin oofsan Malakul mowd la idiin xil saaray, markaasaa xagga Rabbigiin la idin soo celin.
61. Waa Maquuniyaha awoodda badan, ee ka korreeya addoomahiisa, wuxuu idiin soo diraa ilaalo (malaa'ig) korkiinna ah, jeer markuu midkiin u yimaado mowtku, waxaa oofsada Rusushayada (Malaa’igta ah), mana gabood falaan.
The verses on the moment of death say that Allah does not delay a soul when its appointed time comes, and that the one who regrets asks to be sent back and is told “No”.
“May, ma jirto! Waa uun kelmad uu isaga hadlo, waxaana horti ah Barzakh 'xayir [16] aan furmeyn ilaa Maalinta la soo bixin doono (Qiyaamada).
[15]. Waxaasi aan ka dan iyo muraad la’aaday.
[16]. Barzakh waa xaalka qofka uu ku sugnaan marka uu dhinto ilaa laga soo bixinayo, waana xaal iyo moos xir u dhexeeya adduunka iyo Aakhirada.
The edition’s note on 23:100 says that once they die there is no chance of returning to the world, and that they remain in that state until the Day of Resurrection. The word the edition translates as “barrier” is barzakh, which is where the next section begins.
The *barzakh* and the grave
Verse 23:100, above, speaks of a barrier until the Day they are raised. The Qur’ān also says that Allah keeps the believers steadfast in this world and in the Hereafter.
27. Alle Wuxuu waafajiyaa oo ku sugaa kuwa rumeeyey kelmedda sugan [10] nolosha adduunkan iyo aakhirada [11]. Alle wuu lumiyaa daalimiinta. Alle wuxuu falaa wuxuu doono.
[10]. Qowlka sugan waa kelmedda wanaagsan ee ku soo arooray Aayadda 24 Waxaa soo galaya kelmedda wanaagsan kelmedda towxiidka inuusan jirin ilaah xaq lagu caabudo aan ahayn Allaah iyo in Muxammad s.c.w. yahay Rasuulkii Alle, iyo qowl kasta oo dadka ugu yeedhaya samaanta oo ka reebaya xumaanta, kelmedda towxiidkana waxaa weeye laa ilaaha illal Laah.
[11]. Markay malaa’igta wax ku su’aalayaan dadka qubuurahooda dhimashada kaddib, iyagoo weydiinaya seddex su’aalood: Waa kuma Rabbigaa? Maxay tahay diintaadu? Waa kuma Nabiga la idiin soo diray?
A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī says that the believer made to sit in his grave testifies, and that this is what the verse speaks of; a further line in it says that the verse was revealed concerning the punishment of the grave (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1369). Another says that the deceased is asked about the Prophet ﷺ, and that the believer testifies that he is Allah’s servant and messenger, while the hypocrite or the non-believer says that he does not know (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1374).
The Sabīl library gives a supplication for refuge from four things, among them the punishment of Hell and of the grave, and says the Prophet ﷺ commanded it when one finishes the last tashahhud; the library cites this to Muslim.
Tarjumaad qabyo ah: mashiin ayaa ka sameeyay Carabiga iyo Ingiriisiga, weli caalim ama tifaftire afka hooyo ku hadla ma akhriyin. Halka sadar uusan caddayn, muuji Ingiriisiga, kuna kalsoonow Carabiga.
Sadarrada la xiriira xukun waxaa had iyo jeer lagu muujiyaa iyadoo Ingiriisiga daabacan uu ka hooseeyo. Sadarka qabyo-qoraalkiisu ku guuldarraystay hubinta waxaa lagu muujiyaa Ingiriisi keliya.
For those killed in Allah’s way the Qur’ān says this.
169. Ha moodina kuwa lagu dilay Arrinka Alle meyti, Mayee, way nool yihiin, oo Rabbigood agtiisa lagu arzaaqaa.
A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim says that when a person dies their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge by which people benefit, and a righteous child who prays for them (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1631). The library’s Janāzah cards say what to do from the last breath to the filling of the grave.
The Hour and the Trumpet
The Qur’ān says the Trumpet will be blown, and that the earth and the heavens will be changed.
68. Waxaa la afuufi Buunka (Qiyaame), markaasay suuxi (dhiman) dhammaan waxa jooga samooyinka iyo dhammaan waxa jooga arlada kuu doono Alle maahee. Misna la afuufi mar kale, mise dadkii wayba taagan yihiin oo sugayaan (Xukunka Alle).
48. Maalinta marka arlada loo beddeli arlo kale iyo samooyinkaba, waxaana la hor keeni (uumanka oo idil) Alle horti, Waaxidka, Sandulleeyaha (isla weynayaasha).
A narration of Abū Hurayrah says that between the two blowings of the Trumpet there will be forty, and that when he was asked whether it meant days, months or years he declined to say (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4814). The same narration says that everything of the human body decays except the tailbone, and that from it the whole body will be put together again. A narration of Ḥudhayfah ibn Asīd lists the signs that come before the Hour, among them the smoke, the Dajjāl, the beast, the sun rising from the west, the descent of ʿĪsā the son of Maryam, and Gog and Magog (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2901a). This page does not describe them further.
Resurrection and gathering
The Qur’ān answers those who doubt that bones can be gathered by saying that Allah is able to reassemble them, down to the fingertips.
3. Ma wuxuu aadmigu moodaa inaanaan isu soo kulmineyn lafahiisa?
4. Haayoo, Waxaan karnaa inaan sinno oo sidoodii ka yeelno farahiisa oo dhan.
5. Dadow! Haddaad shaki ka qabtaan soo bixinta (iilka layska soo saari), Waxaanu idinka abuurnay carro, haddana dhibic mani ah, haddana xinjir, haddana
cad hilib ah, in ka mid ahi la abuuro inna aan la abuurin (qaadis xumo darteed), si aanu idiinku caddayno. Waxaana ku sugnaa ilmo galeennada waxaan doonno ilaa muddo magacaaban. Markaasaan idin soo bixinnaa idinkoo ilmo yar ah, si aad u gaartaan xooggiina. Waxaa idin ka mid ah mid la oofsado (isagoo yar), waxaana idinka mid ah mid loo celiyo cimriga u liita, si uusan waxba u ogaan ogaalkii kaddib. Waxaadna arkaysaa dhulkoo abaar ah, markase aan ku soo dejinno biyo korkeeda, la dhaqdhaqaaqda (nolol) oo fuurta oo soo saarta nooc walba oo dhir bilic san oo la jeclaado leh.
A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim says that people will be gathered barefoot, naked and uncircumcised; when ʿĀʾishah asked whether men and women would look at one another, the Prophet ﷺ answered that the matter will be too serious for them to do so (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2859a). A narration says that on that Day the sun is brought close to the creation, to a distance of a mile (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2864), and another that seven will be in Allah’s shade on the day when there is no shade but His (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 660; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1031a).
47. Oo (ka dig) maalinta aan ka yeeli buuraha inay tagaan, waxaadna arki dhulka oo ban muuqda ahoo siman, waxaanu soo kulmin iyaga Annagoo aan uga soo tagin gadaal midkoodna.
6. Maalinta dadku istaagi Rabbiga uumanka horti?
Intercession
A long narration reports that the people, in their distress, seek someone to intercede for them with their Lord. They go to Ādam and the other prophets in turn and are sent on, until they come to Muḥammad ﷺ, who prostrates before his Lord and is told to ask and to intercede, and that his intercession will be accepted (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4712; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 193a). The Qur’ān says that no intercession is of any use without Allah’s permission.
255. Allaah! Ma jiro Ilaah (xaq lagu caabudo) aan Isaga ahayn, waa Weligi Noolaha, Daryeelaha iyo Maamulaha waxa uunka jira, ma qabato lulmo iyo hurdo midna. Wuxuu leeyahay wax walba oo ku sugan samooyinka iyo arlada. Waa kuma kan agtiis shafeeco qaadi kara Isagoo idmo maahee? Wuxuu ogsoon yahay waxa hortooda ah iyo waxa gadaashood ah. Ma koobi karaan (uumankiisa) wax ka mid ah Cilmigiisa wuxuu doono ma’ahee. Kursigiisu [71] wuu ka ballaadhan yahay samooyinka iyo arlada, mana cusleeyaan ilaalintoodu [72], waana Sarreeyaha weyn [73].
[71]. Kursiga waa halka cago dhigashada Alle Cazza Wajalla, mana jiro cid og sida uu yahay, waana inaan la isku khaldin Kursiga iyo Carshiga, Carshiga waa ka weyn yahay Kursiga oo wuxuu u yahay sida farraati yar ee lagu tuuray dhul hayjad ah. waxaa sidoo kale lagu fasiray Kursiga Cilmiga Alle.
[72]. Nabigu s.c.w. wuxuu mar weydiiyey Ubay bin Kacab: Aayaddee baa u weyn Qur’aanka? Ubay wuxuu ku jawaabay: Alle iyo Rasuulkiisa baa iga sii ogsoon. Markaasuu Nabigu s.c.w. mar kale weydiiyey: Ubay wuxuu yidhi: Aayatul Kursi. Markaasuu Nabigu s.c.w. wuxuu yidhi: Ha kuu shifoobo cilmiga Abuu Mundirow.
[73]. Nabigu s.c.w. wuxuu yidhi: “Qofkii akhrista Aayatul Kursi habeenka marka uu seexanayo wuxuu Alle u yeelaa malag waardiya ah oo ilaaliya, umana soo dhowaado shaydaan ilaa waagu baryo”.
109. Maalintaas shafeeco wax ma tarto, mid maahee uu Raxmaanku (Alle) u idmo oo uu ka raalli yahay hadalkiisa.
26. Badanaa inta malag jooga samooyinka, aysan shafeecadoodu waxba taraynin in Alle u idmo maahee cidduu doono oo ka Raalli yahay.
The reckoning
The Qur’ān speaks of a record, which each person will find spread open.
13. Qof walbaa waxaanu laasiminnay camalkiisa duula (khayr ama shar miduu yahayba) luquntiisa [8], Waxaana u soo saari Maalinta Qiyaamaha Kitaab uu la kulmi isagoo fidsan.
[8]. Mar nin baa weydiiyey Nabiga s.c.w. : Camal kee baa u wanaagsan? Wuxuu yidhi: Salaadda oo la tukado waqtigeeda hore. Wuxuu weydiiyey: Maxaa xiga? Wuxuu yidhi: U sama falka waalidka. Wuxuu weydiiyey: Maxaa xiga? Wuxuu yidhi: Jihaadka Jidka Alle. W.w. Al-Bukhaari
14. (Waxaa lagu odhan) Akhri Kitaabkaaga, adigaa isugu filan maanta xisaabiye ahaan.
Some will be given the record in the right hand and some in the left, or from behind the back.
19. Kan laga siiyo kitaabkiisa gacantiisa midig, wuxuu odhan: Waa kane, akhriya kitaabkeyga.
25. Kanse laga siiyo kitaabkiisa gacantiisa bidix, wuxuu odhan: Alla haddaan marnaba la I siiyeen kitaabkeyga.
7. Ee ma kan lagu siiyo Kitaabkiisa gacantiisa midig,
10. Kanse laga siiyo Kitaabkiisa dhabarkiisa gadaashiisa,
There will be witnesses against a person: their own limbs and senses.
65. Maanta Waxaynu dabooli afafkooda, waxaa nala hadli gacmahooda, waxaana ku marag furi lugahooda waxay kasbadeen (oo denbiyo ah darteed).
20. Markay yimaadaan (Naarta oo dafiraan denbiyadooda), waxaa ku marag furi maqalkooda iyo araggooda iyo haraggooda waxay fali jireen.
And the deeds are weighed.
47. Waxaanu dhigi miisaan caadil ah Maalinta Qiyaamaha, lagamana dulmiyo nafna waxba, haba ahaado wax le’eg iniinta sisinta [13] waanu keeni. Annagaana ku filan Xisaabiye ahaan.
[13]. Ama wax ka yar ama wax ka weyn.
8. Miisaanku Maalintaasi (Qiyaamada) waa Xaq. kuwa uu ahaado miisankooda (camallada wanaagsan) culeys, waa kuwaasi kuwa liibaani.
9. Kuwa se uu ahaado miisaankooda (camallada wanaagsan) fudeyd, waa kuwaasi kuwa khasaariyey nafahooda dulmigay ku falayeen Aayadahayaga dartiis.
6. Qofka miisaankiisa (camallada wanaagsan) uu culeys yahay.
8. Qofkase uu miisaankiisa (camallada wanaagsan) fudeyd yahay.
7. Ee qofkii fala samaan le’eg saxar wuu arki,
8. Qofkii falana xumaan le’eg saxar wuu arki.
A narration says that the first of a servant’s deeds to be called to account is the prayer; al-Tirmidhī calls it ḥasan gharīb, and later graders differ on it (Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī 413). Another says that the first cases to be decided among people are those of bloodshed (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6533; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1678a). A narration in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim describes the person who comes with prayer, fasting and charity but has abused, slandered or wronged others; their good deeds are given to those they wronged, and if these run out, the sins of those wronged are put on them (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2581).
The bridge
71. Ma jiro mid idinka mid ah oo aan dul mareyn (Naarta) korkeeda; kani waa Guddoon Rabbigaa waajib ah xukman.
72. Markaas waxaanu badbaadin kuwii iska jiray (shirkiga iyo xumaha kale) oo uga tegi daalimiinta dhexdeeda iyagoo ku jilbo joogsan.
The edition’s note on 19:71 says that the verse refers to the bridge called the ṣirāṭ, over Hell. A long narration describes it: some will escape and be safe, some will be lacerated and let go, and some will be pushed into the Fire, while the messengers call out for safety (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6573; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 183a). A narration says that the believers, once saved from the Fire, are stopped at a bridge between Paradise and Hell, where what remains between them is settled, and that when they are cleansed they are admitted to Paradise (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6535). The Qur’ān speaks of the light of the believers.
12. Maalinta aad arki mu’miniinta iyo mu’minooyinka - nuurkoodu socdo hortooda iyo midigtoodaba: ku bishaareysta Maanta Jannooyin (Beero) ay webiyadu hoos qul-qulaan, iyagoo ku waaraya dhexdeeda (weligood). (Arrin)kaasi waa Liibaanta Weyn.
Who enters Paradise and who enters Hell
The Qur’ān sets out the two outcomes in these verses.
6. Xaqiiq, kuwa gaalooba oo ka mid ah ehlu-Kitaabka iyo mushrikiinta waxay dhex ahaan Naarta Jahannama iyagoo ku waaraya gudaheeda. Kuwaasi waa kuwa ugu sharka badan uumanka.
7. Xaqiiq, kuwa (Xaqa) rumeeyey oo samaha fala, kuwaasi waa kuwa ugu khayr badan uumanka.
8. Abaalkooda Rabbigood agtiis ah waa Beero negaadi ah (Jannooyin) oo ay hoostoodu webiyadu qul-qulaan, ay ku waari weligood, Alle Raalli buu ka yahay, iyaguna Raalli ku yihiin. Sidaas waxaa leh qofkii ka baqa Rabbigi 'oo ka dhowrsada xumaha'.
A narration says that Allah will order those who had faith equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed to be taken out of the Fire (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 22), and another speaks of those who used to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah being brought out (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6573). Verse 39:53, on Allah’s mercy, is shown above. This page gives no verdict on any person.
Paradise
17. Ma oga nafi waxa loo qariyey (Jannada dhexdeeda) oo ay indho ku qabowsadaan, abaal marin awgeed waxay camal san falayeen.
72. Alle wuxuu u ballan qaaday mu’miniinta iyo mu’minooyinka beero ay hoostoodu webiyo qul-qulayaan ay ku dhex waarayaan weligood, iyo guryo san oo ku yaal Beeraha negaadiga (Jannada) iyo wax inaataba ka sii wanaagsan waa Raalli ahaanshaha Alle. Arrinkani baa ah Liibaanta Weyn.
26. Waxay leeyihiin kuwa fala wanaagga (abaalgud) kan u wanaagsan (Janno) iyo wax ka zaa’id ah [11] 'eegista Rabbi'. Boor iyo dulli midna ma daboolayo wejiyadooda. Waa kuwaa ehlu Jannada, way ku dhex waari weligood.
[11]. Inay arkaan Rabbigood, oo waxa ugu sarreeya ah ay ku helayaan Jannada.
22. Wejiyo Maalintaas way ifi.
23. Xagga Rabbigood iyagoo eegaya;
A narration in al-Bukhārī and Muslim quotes Allah as saying that He has prepared for His righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no heart has imagined (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3244; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2824a). The edition’s note on 10:26 says that “the best reward and more” is Paradise and the seeing of Allah. Narrations say that the believers will see their Lord as they see the full moon (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 554; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 633a).
Hell
56. Hubaal, kuwa rumeyn diida Aayadahayaga, waxaanu galin Naar. Mar kasta oo ay gebi ahaan ku gubtaan hargahoodu, waxaan ugu beddeli haragyo kale si ay u dhadhamiyaan cadaabka. Hubaal, Alle waa Adkaade, Xakiim ah.
145. Munaafiqiintu [55] waxay ahaan dabaqa u hooseeya ee Naarta; umana heli doontid gargaare (shafeece Aakhirada).
[55]. Nabigu s.c.w. wuxuu yidhi: "Qofkii kastoo leh tilmaamahan afarta ah waa munaafaq dhan: Marka la aamino, khiyaanaa ku soo baxda, markuu warramo wuxuu sheegaa been, markuu ballan galo, wuu ka baxa ballanka, markay cid doodaanna wuu caytamaa.”
A narration says that the fire of this world is one part of seventy parts of the fire of Hell (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3265; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2843a), and another that the one with the lightest punishment has two embers placed under his feet, so that his brain boils (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6562; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 213a; in a variant, two shoes of fire, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 213b). The verse on the hypocrites speaks of the lowest depths of the Fire. This page does not describe Hell further.
After judgment
A narration says that death will be brought in the form of a ram and slaughtered, and that it will then be said to the people of both: eternity, and no death (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4730; Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2849a). Verses 98:6 and 98:8, above, speak of staying forever in the Fire and in the Gardens of Eternity, and this page says no more than they do.
