Al-Baqara 2:7
البقرةخَتَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰٓ أَبْصَـٰرِهِمْ غِشَـٰوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Allah has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and their sight is covered[6]; and for them there will be a great punishment.
[6] A covering preventing from discerning guidance, as a result of their arrogance and persistence in sin.
