Al-Bayyina
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَمَا تَفَرَّقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ 4
{4} Na ikiwa Watu wa Kitabu hawamuamini Mtume huyu na kumfuata, basi hilo si la kwanza katika upotofu wao na ukaidi wao. Kwani hawakufarikiana na kutofautiana na wakawa makundi "ila baada ya kuwajia hiyo bayana" inayohitaji watu wake kukusanyika pamoja na kuafikiana, lakini kwa sababu ya uduni wao na uovu wao, uwongofu huo haukuwaongeza isipokuwa upotovu, na ufahamu haukuwazidishia isipokuwa upofu.
