At-Tawba
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. رَضُوا۟ بِأَن يَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ 87
{87} Yeye Mtukufu alisema, "Waliridhia kwamba wawe pamoja na wabakiao nyuma;" yaani, ni vipi waliziridhia nafsi zao kwamba wawe pamoja na wanawake wanaobakia nyuma bila ya kwenda katika jihadi? Je, wana ufahamu au akili iliyowaonyesha hilo, au "Mwenyezi Mungu alizifungia nyoyo zao?" Kwa hivyo hazielewi heri wala hazina ndani yake utashi wa kutenda yaliyo mema na kufaulu. Kwa hivyo hawafahamu masilahi yao. Kwani wangefahamu uhakika wa kufahamu, basi hawangeziridhia nafsi zao hali hii ambayo inawaweka chini ya vyeo vya wanaume.
