At-Tawba
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنَّمَا يَسْتَـْٔذِنُكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ وَٱرْتَابَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فَهُمْ فِى رَيْبِهِمْ يَتَرَدَّدُونَ 45
{45} "Hakika wanakuomba ruhusa tu wale wasiomuamini Mwenyezi Mungu, na Siku ya Mwisho, na nyoyo zao zikatia shaka." Yaani, hawana imani kamili wala yakini ya ukweli. Na ndiyo maana kutaka kwao mema kukawa kuchache, na wakawa waoga kupigana vita, na wakahitaji kuomba ruhusa ya kuacha kupigana vita. "Basi hao wanasitasita katika shaka yao." Yaani, hawajaacha kuwa katika shaka na kuchanganyikiwa.
