Al-Insaan
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَيُطْعِمُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِۦ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا 8 إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ ٱللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنكُمْ جَزَآءً وَلَا شُكُورًا 9 إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِن رَّبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا 10
{8 - 10} "Na huwalisha chakula, juu ya kukipenda kwake" kwa sababu wametanguliza mapenzi ya Mwenyezi Mungu kuliko mapenzi ya nafsi zao wenyewe, na wako makini zaidi kuwalisha watu wanaostahiki zaidi na walio wahitaji zaidi miongoni mwao, ambao ni "masikini, na yatima, na wafungwa" na kwa utoaji wao huo na kuwalisha kwao huko wanakusudia uso wa Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu, na wanasema kwa ulimi wa hali zao: "Hakika sisi tunakulisheni kwa wajihi wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Hatutaki kwenu malipo wala shukrani." Yaani, hatutaki malipo ya kimali wala kusifiwa kwa maneno. "Hakika sisi tunaiogopa kwa Mola wetu Mlezi hiyo siku yenye shida" nyingi na maovu "na taabu."
