Al-An'aam
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍ مِّنْ ءَايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ 4
{4} Hizi ni habari kutoka kwake Yeye Mtukufu kuhusu kupeana mgongo kwa washirikina na ukali wa kukadhibisha kwao na uadui wao, na kwamba haziwafai Aya zozote mpaka ziwafikie dhabu kali za kupigiwa mifano. Kwa hivyo Akasema, "Na haiwajii ishara miongoni mwa ishara za Mola wao Mlezi" zenye kuonyesha haki, kuonyesha kwa uhakika, zenye kuwafanya kuzifuata na kuzikubali, "isipokuwa walikuwa wakiipa mgongo." Wala hawazijali, wala hawazipi sikio, na nyoyo zao zilikwisha kwenda kwa yasiyokuwa hizo, na wakazipa migongo yao.
