Al-An'aam

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِى ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ ۗ مَن يَشَإِ ٱللَّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ 39
{39} Haya ni kubainisha hali ya wale waliokadhibisha Ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu, na waliowakadhibisha Mitume wake, kwamba wao wenyewe walijifungia mlango wa uwongofu, na wakajifungulia mlango wa maangamivu; na kwamba wao ni "viziwi" wasioisikia haki, "mabubu" wasioweza kuizungumza. Basi hawazungumzi isipokuwa batili "wamo katika giza mbalimbali". Yaani, walitumbukia katika giza mbalimbali la ujinga, na ukafiri, na dhulma, na ukaidi, na maasia; na haya ni katika Mwenyezi Mungu kuwapoteza. Basi yule ambaye "Mwenyezi Mungu anataka, anampoteza, na yule ambaye anataka, anamuweka katika Njia iliyonyooka." Kwa sababu ni Yeye pekee wa kuongoza na kupotosha kulingana na inavyotaka neema yake na hekima yake.
