Aal-i-Imraan
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ 78
{78} Yani, hakika miongoni mwa Watu wa Kitabu lipo kundi linalokipotoa Kitabu cha Mwenyezi Mungu, “linalopindua ndimi zao katika kusoma Kitabu ili mdhanie kuwa hayo yanatoka Kitabuni.” Na hili linajumuisha upotoshaji wa matamshi, na upotoshaji wa maana. Kisha wao pamoja na upotoshaji huu mbaya, wanafanya idhaniwe kwamba hayo yametoka katika Kitabu ilhali wao ni waongo katika hilo. Na wanasema uongo waziwazi juu ya Mwenyezi Mungu hali ya kuwa wanajua hali zao na ubaya wa matokeo yao.
