Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. فَتَلَقَّىٰٓ ءَادَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِۦ كَلِمَـٰتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 37
(37) “Kisha Adam akapokea,” yani Mwenyezi Mungu alimfunulia “maneno kutoka kwa Mola wake Mlezi;” nayo ni kauli yake: “Mola wetu Mlezi, Tumezidhulumu nafsi zetu” hadi mwisho wa aya. Kwa hivyo, akakiri dhambi zake, na akamuomba Mwenyezi Mungu msamaha juu yake. “Na Mola wake Mlezi alimkubalia toba yake” na akamrehemu “hakika Yeye ndiye Mwingi wa kukubali toba;” kwa mwenye kutubia kwake na akarejea kwake. Na toba yake ni ya aina mbili: Kumwezesha kwanza, kisha pili kukubali kwake (Mwenyezi Mungu) toba hiyo ikiwa itajumuisha masharti yake. “Na Mwenye kurehemu,” kwa waja wake. Na katika rehema yake juu yao ni kuwawezesha kutubu, na akawasamehe, na akaachilia.
