Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. Sabīl did not write or translate any of it.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ 21
(21) Hii ni amri ya jumla kwa watu wote wenye amri ya jumla, ambayo ni ibada inayojumuisha kufuata amri za Mwenyezi Mungu, na kuwacha makatazo yake, na kusadiki habari zake. Kwa hivyo, Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu akawaamrisha lile alilowaumbia kwa ajili yake. Mwenyezi Mungu alisema: "Nami sikuwaumba majini na watu ila waniabudu Mimi". Kisha akaleta dalili ya ulazima wa kumuabudu Yeye peke yake, kwamba Yeye ndiye Mola wenu Mlezi ambaye amekuleeni kwa aina mbalimbali za neema. Alikuumbeni baada ya kutokuwepo, na akawaumba wale wa kabla yenu.
