Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ لَيْسَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ لَيْسَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍ وَهُمْ يَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ ۚ فَٱللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فِيمَا كَانُوا۟ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ 113
(113) Na hayo ni kuwa matamanio na husuda yaliwafikisha Watu wa Kitabu kiwango kwamba wenyewe kwa wenyewe wanaonana kuwa wapotofu, na wanakufurishana wao kwa wao, kama walivyofanya wasiojua kusoma katika washirikina wa Waarabu na wengineo. Kila kundi linaona lingine kuwa ni potofu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu atahukumu Akhera baina ya wale waliotofautiana kwa hukumu yake ya uadilifu aliyowaambia waja wake. Kwani hakuna kufaulu wala kuokoka ila kwa yule aliyewaamini Manabii na Mitume wote, akatekeleza maamrisho ya Mola wake Mlezi, na akajiepusha na makatazo yake. Na asiyekuwa hao, basi yeye ni mwangamivu.
