Al-Bayyina
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. لَمْ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ مُنفَكِّينَ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَةُ 1
(1) Allah سبحانه وتعالى berfirman, ﴾ لَمۡ يَكُنِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ﴿ "Orang-orang kafir dari ahli kitab," yakni dari kalangan Yahudi dan Nasrani, ﴾ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِينَ ﴿ "dan orang-orang musyrik," dari segenap umat, ﴾ مُنفَكِّينَ ﴿ "tidak akan meninggalkan" kekufuran dan kesesatan mereka. Artinya, mereka senantiasa berada dalam kesesatan. Tidaklah waktu berlalu melainkan mereka semakin kufur, ﴾ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِيَهُمُ ٱلۡبَيِّنَةُ ﴿ "sebelum datang kepada mereka bukti yang nyata," yakni bukti yang jelas.
