Al-Kahf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ فَكَانَتْ لِمَسَـٰكِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنْ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٌ يَأْخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصْبًا 79
(79) ﴾ أَمَّا ٱلسَّفِينَةُ ﴿ "Adapun bahtera itu," yang aku lubangi ﴾ فَكَانَتۡ لِمَسَٰكِينَ يَعۡمَلُونَ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ ﴿ "adalah kepunyaan orang-orang miskin yang bekerja di laut," yang menuntut munculnya rasa iba dan kasihan kepada mereka ﴾ فَأَرَدتُّ أَنۡ أَعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَّلِكٞ يَأۡخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ غَصۡبٗا 79 ﴿ "lalu aku bertujuan merusak bahtera itu, karena di hadapan mereka ada seorang raja yang me-rampas tiap-tiap bahtera," maksudnya mereka itu (dalam berlayar), melewati raja yang zhalim. Setiap kapal yang baik yang melewati sang raja tanpa cacat, maka dia merampasnya atau mengambilnya secara paksa. Karena itu, aku berniat melubanginya agar memiliki cacat, sehingga selamat dari (jarahan) penguasa yang zhalim itu.
