Saad 38:34
صوَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَـٰنَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِۦ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ
Indeed, We tested Solomon and cast upon his throne a body, then he turned [to Allah][15].
[15] The Prophet (ﷺ) said that one night Solomon said that each one of his wives would conceive a boy who would fight for the sake of Allah. He forgot to say ‘Allah willing,’ so only one of them gave birth to a deformed, dead baby. So Solomon sought Allah’s forgiveness. [Al-Bukhāri]

And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body;[1327] then he returned.[1328]
[1327] Said to be a devil or a lifeless body (one without capability), but Allāh alone knows.
[1328] To sovereignty and to Allāh in repentance.

34. And indeed, We did try Sulaimân (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasad (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) and he did return (to Allâh with obedience and in repentance, and to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allâh).
