AbulAjfa' as-Sulami said:Umar (Allah be pleased with him) delivered a speech to us and said: Do not go to extremes in giving women their dower, for if it represented honour in this world and piety in Allah's sight, the one of you most entitled to do so would have been the Prophet (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not marry any of his wives or gave any of his daughters in marriage for more than twelve uqiyahs

Under each narration is the dataset’s own translation, shown as it stands. It names no translator, its rights are not verified, and nobody has checked it against the Arabic; some narrations have none. The Arabic is the text.

Book 12 · Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah)

The Arabic text, the numbering, the book names and the gradings are shown exactly as they stand in an open dataset (hadith-api). Sabīl has not yet verified its accuracy or its rights, and its scholarly review has not begun. Until then, check a narration against a printed edition before relying on it.
