Born in Damascus in 1963 into a family of scholars; his father was his teacher. He studied Arabic literature at the University of Damascus and philosophy in Beirut. He writes, publishes and teaches under Sacred Knowledge. His books include Refuting ISIS and Shamāʾil al-Ḥabīb al-Muṣṭafā.
