Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi

Scholar and author, born in Houston

Born in Houston in 1975 to Pakistani parents. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Houston, then at the Islamic University of Madinah, and took a doctorate in religious studies at Yale. He is dean of The Islamic Seminary of America and resident scholar of the East Plano Islamic Center, and chairs the Fiqh Council of North America.
