At-Tawba 9:115
التوبةوَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُضِلَّ قَوْمًۢا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُبَيِّنَ لَهُم مَّا يَتَّقُونَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
Allah will not cause a people to go astray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid[85]. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing of everything.
[85] ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنهما) reported regarding al-Haruriyah (the kharijites) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "They will go out of Islam as an arrow darts out of the game’s body." [Sahih al-Bukhāri: 66]

And Allāh would not let a people stray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid. Indeed, Allāh is Knowing of all things.

115. And Allâh will never lead a people astray after He has guided them until He makes clear to them as to what they should avoid. Verily, Allâh is the All-Knower of everything.[24]
[24] (V.9:115) Killing the Khawârij) ( people who dissented from the religion and disagreed with the rest of the Muslims), and the Mulhidûn (heretics) after the establishment of firm proof against them.
And the Statement of Allâh تعالى: ‘And Allâh will never lead a people astray after He has guided them, until He makes clear to them what they should avoid...’ (V.9:115) And Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما used to consider them (the Khawarij and the Mulhidûn) the worst of Allâh’s creatures and said, "These people took some Verses that had been revealed concerning the disbelievers and interpreted them as describing the believers."
