Az-Zukhruf 43:89

الزخرف

فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَـٰمٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

Meaning

So turn away from them and say, “Peace[35].” They will come to know.

[35] Safety and security, i.e., “I will not harm you.” This was before granting permission to the Prophet (ﷺ) for armed struggle.

Meaning

So turn aside from them and say, "Peace."[1456] But they are going to know.

89. So turn away from them (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم), and say: Salâm (peace)! But they will come to know.[6]

[6] (V.43:89) The provision of this Verse was abrogated by the revelation of the Verse of fighting them (V.9.5).
