Az-Zukhruf 43:56
الزخرففَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِّلْـَٔاخِرِينَ
Thus We made them a precedent and a lesson[21] for the later generations.
[21] A precedent for those who do not learn any lesson from their example, and a lesson for those who are keen to learn a lesson.
