Yaseen 36:75

يس

لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ

Meaning

They cannot help them, yet they serve them as their dedicated guards[21].

[21] Or their idols or so-called gods will be assembled to witness the punishment of their worshipers on the Day of Judgment.

Meaning

They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.[1282]

[1282] Maintaining and protecting their "gods." Another interpretation is that they (i.e., the gods) will be soldiers set against them in Hellfire.
