Abu Tha‘labah (my Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you shoot your arrow and it disappears from sight and you find it later, you may eat it (the game) unless it smells bad."

Translation: HadeethEnc.comIts explanation

The source records no grading for this narration.

Where the Encyclopedia of Translated Prophetic Hadiths (HadeethEnc.com) has the very text of a narration, its translation stands under that narration and is named. The two were paired by program, from the Arabic alone: the entry’s whole text, with the Companion it names, is the end of the narration letter for letter. Nobody has checked the pairing, and Sabīl’s reviewers have not examined the translation. The Arabic is the text.

Book 34 · The Book of Hunting, Slaughter, and what may be Eaten

The Arabic text, the numbering, the book names and the gradings are shown exactly as they stand in an open dataset (hadith-api). Sabīl has not yet verified its accuracy or its rights, and its scholarly review has not begun. Until then, check a narration against a printed edition before relying on it.
