جامع البيان في تأويل آي القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ 207
القول في تأويل قوله تعالى: ﴿مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ (٢٠٧) ﴾
يقول تعالى ذكره: ثم جاءهم العذاب الذي كانوا يوعدون على كفرهم بآياتنا، وتكذيبهم رسولنا. ﴿مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ﴾ يقول: أي شيء أغنى عنهم التأخير الذي أخرنا في آجالهم، والمتاع الذي متعناهم به من الحياة، إذ لم يتوبوا من شركهم، هل زادهم تمتيعنا إياهم ذلك إلا خبالا؟، وهل نفعهم شيئا؟، بل ضرهم بازديادهم من الآثام، واكتسابهم من الإجرام ما لو لم يمتعوا لم يكتسبوه.
⁕ حدثني يونس، قال: أخبرنا ابن وهب، قال: قال ابن زيد، في قوله: ﴿أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ﴾ إلى قوله ﴿مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ﴾ قال: هؤلاء أهل الكفر.
