جامع البيان في تأويل آي القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَـٰعِبِينَ 16
القول في تأويل قوله تعالى: ﴿وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالأرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لاعِبِينَ (١٦) ﴾
يقول تعالى ذكره: ﴿وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالأرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا﴾ إلا حجة عليكم أيها الناس، ولتعتبروا بذلك كله، فتعلموا أن الذي دبره وخلقه لا يشبهه شيء، وأنه لا تكون الألوهية إلا له، ولا تصلح العبادة لشيء غيره، ولم يَخْلق ذلك عبثا ولعبا.
كما:-
⁕ حدثنا بشر، قال: ثنا يزيد، قال: ثنا سعيد، عن قتادة، قوله ﴿وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالأرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لاعِبِينَ﴾ يقول: ما خلقناهما عَبَثا ولا باطلا.
