جامع البيان في تأويل آي القرآنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قَالُوا۟ يَـٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ 53
القول في تأويل قوله تعالى: ﴿قَالُوا يَا هُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِي آلِهَتِنَا عَنْ قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (٥٣) ﴾
قال أبو جعفر: يقول تعالى ذكره: قال قوم هود لهود، يا هود ما أتيتنا ببيان ولا برهان على ما تقول، فنسلم لك، ونقر بأنك صادق فيما تدعونا إليه من توحيد الله والإقرار بنبوتك = ﴿وما نحن بتاركي آلهتنا﴾ ، يقول: وما نحن بتاركي آلهتنا، يعني: لقولك: أو من أجل قولك. ﴿ما نحن لك بمؤمنين﴾ ، يقول: قالوا: وما نحن لك بما تدعي من النبوة والرسالة من الله إلينا بمصدِّقين.
