Al-Insaan
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا 2
{2} Kisha alipotaka kumuumba, alimuumba baba yake, Adam kwa udongo, kisha akawajaalia dhuriya zake "kutokana na mbegu ya uhai iliyochanganyika" yanayoonwa kwamba ni machafu "ili tumfanyie mtihani" kwa hayo. Ili tujue iwapo ataiona hali yake ya mwanzo na kuitambua, au ataisahau na kudanganywa na nafsi yake? Kwa hivyo Mwenyezi Mungu akamuumba na kumpa nguvu za dhahiri na zilizofichika, kama vile kusikia, kuona, na viungo vingine, kwa hivyo alivikamilisha hivyo vote kwa ajili yake na akaviweka salama ili aweze kufikia malengo yake.
