Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَقَالَ ٱلْمَلَأُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَوْمِهِۦ لَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتُمْ شُعَيْبًا إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَـٰسِرُونَ 90
{90} “Na wakasema waheshimiwa waliokufuru katika kaumu yake” wakionya juu ya kumfuata Shu’aib, “Mkimfuata Shu'aib, basi hakika nyinyi mtahasiri." Haya ndiyo yale nafsi zao ziliwashawishi kuyafanya. Kwamba hasara na mashaka ni katika kufuata unyoofu na uwongofu, na hawakujua kwamba hasara yote ni katika kushikamana na upotofu na upotoshaji walio ndani yake, na hakika walijua hilo ilipowafikia adhabu.
