Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. فَعَقَرُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةَ وَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ وَقَالُوا۟ يَـٰصَـٰلِحُ ٱئْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ 77
{77} "Basi wakamchinja ngamia jike," naye akawatishia ya kwamba wakimdhuru, itawafikia adhabu chungu. "Na wakaasi amri ya Mola wao Mlezi." Yaani, walikuwa wakimfanyia ukatili na wakamfanyia jeuri. Mwenye kumuasi ataonjeshwa adhabu kali, bila kosa lolote, Mwenyezi Mungu amewawekea adhabu ambayo hakuiwezesha kwa wengine. "Na wakasema" kwa vitendo hivyo walikuwa wakithubutu mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu, wakimtukuza, bila kujali wanayoyafanya, bali wanajivuna nayo. Ewe Saleh! tuletee unayotuahidi - ikiwa wewe ni miongoni mwa wakweli - miongoni mwa adhabu." Kisha akasema: "Furahini majumbani mwenu siku tatu. Hiyo ni ahadi isiyo ya uongo."
