Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَلَمَّا سُقِطَ فِىٓ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَرَأَوْا۟ أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ ضَلُّوا۟ قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ يَرْحَمْنَا رَبُّنَا وَيَغْفِرْ لَنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ 149
{149} "Na wakati" aliporejea Musa kwa kaumu yake, na akawakuta katika hali hii, na akawajulisha kuhusu kupotea kwao, wakajuta, na “mambo yalipoangushwa katika mikono yao.” Yaani, kama vile wasiwasi kubwa na majuto kwa kitendo chao, "na wakaona ya kwamba wamekwishapotea," basi wakatubia kwa Mwenyezi Mungu na wakanyenyekea. "Wakasema: Ikiwa Mola wetu Mlezi hataturehemu" na akatuelekeza kwake, na akaturuzuku kumuabudu Yeye, na akatuwezesha kufanya matendo kutengenea, "na akatufutia dhambi" yale yuliyoyafanya ya kumuabudu ndama; "basi bila ya shaka tutakuwa miongoni mwa waliohasiri" ambao walihasiri dunia na Akhera.
