Al-An'aam
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَٱلْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا ۚ وَكُلًّا فَضَّلْنَا عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 86
{86} "Na Ismail" mwana wa Ibrahim, baba wa taifa ambalo ndilo taifa bora zaidi, nalo ni taifa la Kiarabu, na baba wa bwana wa mwana wa Adam Muhammad - Mwenyezi Mungu amfikishie rehema na amani. "Na Yunus" bin Mata, "na Lut’" bin Harun, kaka yake Ibrahim, "na kila mmoja wao" katika hawa Manabii na Mitume; "tulimfadhilisha juu ya walimwengu wote." Kwa sababu daraja za fadhila ni nne. Nazo ni zile alizotaja Mwenyezi Mungu kwa kauli yake, "Na wenye kumtii Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume, basi hao wako pamoja na wale aliowaneemesha Mwenyezi Mungu miongoni mwa Manabii, na Masiddiqi, na Mashahidi, na Watu wema." Basi hawa wako katika daraja la juu, bali wao ndio Mitume bora zaidi kuliko wote. Kwa maana Mitume ambao Mwenyezi Mungu alitusimulia katika Kitabu chake bila ya shaka ndio bora zaidi kuwaliko wale ambao hakutusimulia habari yao.
