Al-An'aam
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنِّى وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّذِى فَطَرَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ 79
{79} "Hakika mimi nimeuelekeza uso wangu kwa yule aliyeziumba mbingu na ardhi, kwa unyoofu." Yaani, kwa Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake, kwa kumuelekea, na kuvipa mgongo visivyokuwa Yeye, "wala mimi si miongoni mwa washirikina." Basi akajiweka mbali na ushirikina, akasalimu amri kwa kumpwekesha Mwenyezi Mungu, na akasimamisha hoja juu ya hayo. Na hili ambayo tumeyataja katika tafsiri ya Aya hizi ndiyo sahihi. Nao ni kuwa muktadha huu ni wa mahali pa Ibrahim kujadiliana na kaumu yake, na kubainisha ubatili wa uungu hivi vyombo vya mbinguni na vinginevyo. Na ama aliyesema: ni katika muktadha wa kutafakari katika hali ya utoto wake; basi hilo hakuna ushahidi wowote juu yake.
