This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَشَآقُّوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰ لَن يَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّهَ شَيْـًٔا وَسَيُحْبِطُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ 32
{32} Hili ni ahadi ya adhabu kali kwa wanaojumuisha kila aina ya uovu, kama vile kumkufuru Mwenyezi Mungu na kuwazuilia viumbe njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu aliyoiweka iwe ni ya kuwafikisha kwake, "na wakapinzana na Mtume baada ya uwongofu kwisha wabainikia" kwa makusudi na kwa ukaidi, si kwa kutojua, na upotofu. Basi "hao hawatamdhuru Mwenyezi Mungu kwa lolote" na wala ufalme wake hautapungua kwa hayo. "Naye ataviangusha vitendo vyao" walivyovifanyia juhudi katika kubwa katika kuunga mkono batili, kwa namna kwamba havitawazalia chochote isipokuwa kuambulia patupu na kupata hasara, na tena matendo yao wanayoyatarajia hayatakubaliwa; kwa sababu hawakutekeleza sharti lake.
