This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلْبَـٰطِلَ وَأَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ أَمْثَـٰلَهُمْ 3
{3} Sababu ya hayo ni kwamba waliifuata haki, ambayo ni ukweli na yakini, na yale yaliyomo ndani ya Qur-ani hii tukufu iliyotoka kwa Mola wao Mlezi, ambaye aliwanyanyua kwa fadhila zake na akawalea kwa neema zake, na akawaendesha kwa upole wake. Basi Yeye Mtukufu akawalea kwa haki, hivyo wakaifuata, kwa hivyo mambo yao yakatengenea. Na kwa kuwa lengo lililokusudiwa kwao lilihusiana na haki inayonasibishwa na Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwenye kubakia, wa Haki, aliye wazi, njia hiyo ikawa nzuri na ya kudumu, na yenye malipo ya kubakia. "Hivyo ndivyo Mwenyezi Mungu anavyowapigia watu mifano yao." Ambapo Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu aliwaeleza watu wema na watu waovu, na akawatajia sifa za kila mmoja ambazo kwazo wanajulikana na ni maalumu kwao tu. Ili mwenye kuangamia aangamie kwa hoja iliyo wazi, na mwenye kusalia hai asalie hai kwa hoja iliyo wazi.
