An-Nisaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ نَصِيبًا مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ يَشْتَرُونَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلَةَ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن تَضِلُّوا۟ ٱلسَّبِيلَ 44
{44} Hii ni kashfa kwa wale “waliopewa fungu katika Kitabu.” Na ndani yake kuna tahadharisho kwa waja wake dhidi ya kudanganywa nao, na kuingia katika mitego yao. Kwa hivyo, akajulisha kwamba wao wenyewe “wananunua upotovu.” Yani wanaupenda upendo mkubwa, na wanaupendelea upendeleo wa mwenye kutoa mali nyingi katika kutafuta kile anachokipenda. Basi wanaupendelea upotovu kuliko uwongofu, na ukafiri kuliko imani, na taabu kuliko furaha, na pamoja na haya “wanataka kwamba mpotee Njia,” Hivyo basi, wao wanafanya hima kubwa sana kuwapoteza, wakifanya juhudi zao katika hilo. Lakini kwa kuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye mlinzi wa waja wake Waumini na mwenye kuwanusuru, akawabainishia yale wanayojumuisha miongoni mwa upotovu na upotoshaji.
