Al-Anbiyaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَـٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَـٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ 97
{97} "Na miadi ya haki ikakaribia." Yaani, Siku ya Kiyama ambayo Mwenyezi Mungu aliahidi kuja, na ahadi yake ni ya haki na ya kweli. Siku hiyo utayaona macho ya makafiri wakiwa wameyakodoa kwa sababu ya kukithiri kwa kufadhaika, vitisho vya kutisha, na machafuko ya kutisha, na yale waliyokuwa wakiyajua juu ya dhulma zao na dhambi zao, na kwamba wanaitaka ole na maangamizo, na majuto, na majuto kwa yaliyopita. Na wanasema, "tulikuwa tumeghafilika," na hatukuacha kutumbukia humo, na tukaistarehesha dunia, mpaka ikatujia yakini. Na tukafika kwenye Ufufuo. Lau kuwa mtu yeyote anakufa kutokana na majuto na huzuni, atakufa tu. "Bali tulikuwa madhalimu." Walikiri makosa yao na uadilifu wa Mwenyezi Mungu juu yao. Kisha wataamrishwa kwenda Motoni pamoja na yale waliyokuwa wakiyaabudu, na kwa ajili hiyo akasema:
