Al-Anbiyaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. قَالُوا۟ فَأْتُوا۟ بِهِۦ عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِ ٱلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ 61
61. Walipohakikisha ya kuwa ni Ibrahim, wakasema; "Mleteni." Yaani, mleteni Ibrahimu "mbele ya macho ya watu;" Yaani, mbele ya macho yao na kusikia kwao, "ili washudie." Yaani, watahudhuria yale yatakayofanywa kwa wale wanaoharibu miungu yao. Hivi ndivyo Ibrahim alivyotaka na kukusudia: kwamba kauli ya haki iwe mbele ya watu, ili waione haki na ithibitike hoja juu yao. Kama alivyosema Musa alipomuahidi Firauni: "Miadi yenu ni siku ya Sikukuu ya mapambo; na watu wakusanywe kabla ya adhuhuri."
