Al-Anbiyaa
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ 1
{1} Huu ni mshangao juu ya hali ya watu, kwamba hauwaingii ukumbusho wowote, wala hawamsikilizi mwonyaji yeyote, na kwamba imekaribia hesabu yao na malipo yao kwa matendo yao mema na mabaya. Na hali ni kwamba "wako katika kughafilika wanapuuza." Yaani, wameghafilika hawayafanyi yale waliyoumbwa kwa ajili yake, na wameyapuuza yale waliyokemewa. Na ni kana kwamba waliumbwa kwa ajili ya dunia, na kwamba walizaliwa kuifurahia tu, na kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu Mtukufu bado anawafanyia ukumbusho mpya na mawaidha, lakini wao bado wako katika kughafilika kwao na kupeana kwao mgongo.
