Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشْتَرَوُا۟ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ 86
(86) "Hao ndio walionunua uhai wa dunia kwa (uhai wa) Akhera" Walidhani kuwa wasipowasaidia washirika wao, basi watapatwa na aibu, basi wakachagua moto kuliko aibu. Ndio maana alisema, "kwa hivyo hawatapunguziwa adhabu" bali utabakia na ukali wake, na hawatapata kupumzika wakati wowote ule "wala hawatanusuriwa" kwa kuwaondoshea hayo machukizo.
