This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا 32
{32} Pia aliniusia nimtendee wema mama yangu, kwa kumfanyia ihsani kubwa zaidi, na nimfanyie yale anayofaa kufanyiwa. Kwa sababu ya heshima yake na fadhila zake, na kwa sababu yeye ni mama mzazi mwenye haki ya kuzaa na mengineyo yanayofungamana na haki hiyo. "Wala hakunifanya niwe jeuri" mwenye kutakabari mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu, mwenye kuwadharau waja wake, "muovu" katika dunia yangu na vile vile Akhera yangu. Bali amenifanya niwe mtiifu kwake, mwenye kujiweka chini sana mbele yake, mwenye kumnyenyekea, mwenye kujidhalilisha na mnyenyekevu kwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu, niwe mzuri katika dunia na Akhera, mimi na atakayenifuata.
