بحر العلومThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱلْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغْفِرَةً مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلًا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ 268
الشَّيْطانُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ يقول الشيطان يأمركم بشيئين، والله تعالى يأمركم بشيئين: أما الشيطان، فإنه يأمركم بالفقر، ويقول: لا تنفقوا ولا تتصدقوا، فإنكم تحتاجون إلى ذلك.
وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْفَحْشاءِ قال الكلبي: يعني يمنع الزكاة. ويقال: جميع الفواحش مثل الزنى وقول الزور وغير ذلك وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُمْ مَغْفِرَةً مِنْهُ لذنوبكم يعني المغفرة من الله. وَفَضْلًا يعني خلفاً في الدنيا وَاللَّهُ واسِعٌ الفضل عَلِيمٌ بما تنفقون. ويقال: عليم بمواضع الصدقات.
