At-Tawba
تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قُلْ هَلْ تَرَبَّصُونَ بِنَآ إِلَّآ إِحْدَى ٱلْحُسْنَيَيْنِ ۖ وَنَحْنُ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمْ أَن يُصِيبَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِعَذَابٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِۦٓ أَوْ بِأَيْدِينَا ۖ فَتَرَبَّصُوٓا۟ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّتَرَبِّصُونَ 52
{52} أي: قل للمنافقين الذين يتربَّصون بكم الدوائر: أيَّ شيء تربَّصون بنا؟ فإنكم لا تربَّصون بنا إلا أمراً فيه غاية نفعنا، وهو إحدى الحسنيين: إما الظَّفَر بالأعداء والنصر عليهم ونيل الثواب الأخروي والدنيوي، وإما الشهادة التي هي من أعلى درجات الخَلْق وأرفع المنازل عند الله. وأما تربُّصنا بكم يا معشر المنافقين؛ فنحن {نتربَّص بكم أن يصيبَكم الله بعذابٍ من عنده} لا سبب لنا فيه {أو بأيدينا}؛ بأن يسلِّطنا عليكم فنقتلكم، {فتربَّصوا}: بنا الخير، {إنا معكم متربِّصون}: بكم الشرَّ.
