تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

فَإِنْ حَآجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِىَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَنِ ۗ وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْأُمِّيِّـۧنَ ءَأَسْلَمْتُمْ ۚ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا۟ فَقَدِ ٱهْتَدَوا۟ ۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرٌۢ بِٱلْعِبَادِ 20
{20} لما بين أن الدين الحقيقي عنده الإسلام، وكان أهل الكتاب قد شافهوا النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - بالمجادلة وقامت عليهم الحجة فعاندوها، أمره الله تعالى عند ذلك أن يقول ويعلن أنه قد أسلم وجهه أي ظاهره وباطنه لله، وأن من اتبعه كذلك قد وافقوه على هذا الإذعان الخالص، وأن يقول للناس كلهم من أهل الكتاب والأميين أي الذين ليس لهم كتاب من العرب وغيرهم إن أسلمتم فأنتم على الطريق المستقيم والهدى والحق وإن توليتم فحسابكم على الله، وأنا ليس عليَّ إلا البلاغ، وقد أبلغتكم وأقمت عليكم الحجة.
