Aal-i-Imraan
تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِّأَنفُسِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِى لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوٓا۟ إِثْمًا ۚ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ 178
{178} أي: ولا يظن الذين كفروا بربهم، ونابذوا دينه، وحاربوا رسوله أنَّ تركنا إياهم في هذه الحياة الدنيا وعدم استئصالنا لهم وإملائنا لهم خير لأنفسهم ومحبة منا لهم، كلا ليس الأمر كما زعموا، وإنما ذلك لشر يريده الله بهم وزيادة عذاب وعقوبة إلى عذابهم، ولهذا قال:{إنما نملي لهم ليزدادوا إثماً ولهم عذاب مهين}، فالله تعالى يملي للظالم حتى يزداد طغيانه، ويترادف كفرانه حتى إذا أخذه أخذه أخذ عزيز مقتدر، فليحذر الظالمون من الإمهال، ولا يظنوا أن يفوتوا الكبير المتعال.
