تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ 14 لَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَـٰرُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَّسْحُورُونَ 15
{14 ـ 15} أي: ولو جاءتهم كلُّ آية عظيمة؛ لم يؤمنوا وكابروها، فَـ {لَو فَتَحۡنا عليهم باباً من السماء}: فصاروا يعرجون فيه ويشاهدونه عياناً بأنفسهم؛ لقالوا من ظلمهم وعنادهم منكِرين لهذه الآية:{إنَّما سُكِّرَتۡ أبصارُنا}؛ أي: أصابها سكر وغشاوة حتى رأينا ما لم نَرَ. {بل نحنُ قومٌ مسحورون}؛ أي: ليس هذا بحقيقة، بل هذا سحرٌ. وقوم وصلت بهم الحال إلى هذا الإنكار؛ فإنَّهم لا مطمع فيهم ولا رجاء.
ثم ذكر الآيات الدالات على ما جاءت به الرسل من الحق فقال:
