تيسير الكريم الرحمنThis is the Arabic text of a classical tafsīr as the Quranic Universal Library (QUL, by Tarteel) has it, taken through the open copy of QUL’s data that spa5k/tafsir_api keeps. QUL does not say which printed edition it follows and states no licence for the texts, so the right to show them is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. Where the text carries a note of an editor’s, in double brackets, it is shown as it stands. There is no translation yet.

قَالَ قَآئِلٌ مِّنْهُمْ لَا تَقْتُلُوا۟ يُوسُفَ وَأَلْقُوهُ فِى غَيَـٰبَتِ ٱلْجُبِّ يَلْتَقِطْهُ بَعْضُ ٱلسَّيَّارَةِ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ 10
{10} أي: {قال قائلٌ}: من إخوة يوسف الذين أرادوا قتله أو تبعيده: {لا تقتُلوا يوسُفَ}: فإنَّ قتله أعظمُ إثماً وأشنعُ، والمقصود يحصُلُ بتبعيده عن أبيه من غير قتل، ولكن توصَّلوا إلى تبعيده بأن تلقوه {في غَيابَةِ الجُبِّ}: وتتوعَّدوه على أنه لا يخبر بشأنكم، بل على أنَّه عبدٌ مملوك آبقٌ [منكم] لأجل أن يلتقِطَه {بعضُ السيَّارة}: الذين يريدون مكاناً بعيداً فيحتفظون فيه، وهذا القائل أحسنهم رأياً في يوسف وأبرُّهم وأتقاهم في هذه القضية؛ فإنَّ بعضَ الشرِّ أهونُ من بعض، والضرر الخفيف يُدفع به الضررُ الثقيل. فلما اتفقوا على هذا الرأي:
