Al-A'raaf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ 80
(80) О Мухаммад! Помяни Нашего раба Лута, которого Мы отправили проповедовать среди его народа. Он приказал им поклоняться одному Аллаху и запретил им совершать мерзкое злодеяние, которое прежде не совершал ни один другой народ. Он сказал: «Ваш поступок настолько отвратителен и ужасен, что превосходит все остальные мерзкие деяния. Никто прежде не осмеливался поступать так». Мужеложство само по себе было отвратительным злодеянием, и еще более от- вратительным оно становилось от того, что соплеменники Лута первыми стали совершать этот грех и проложили дорогу для остальных. Далее Всевышний Ал- лах разъяснил характер их злодеяния:
