Al-Mumtahana
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. إِن يَثْقَفُوكُمْ يَكُونُوا۟ لَكُمْ أَعْدَآءً وَيَبْسُطُوٓا۟ إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلسُّوٓءِ وَوَدُّوا۟ لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ 2
(2) Всевышний решил возбудить в верующих чувство ненависти к неверующим и поведал о том, что они также питают злобу и вражду к мусульманам. Если при встрече им представится возможность причинить мусульманам вред, то они не станут скрывать своей ненависти и будут вредить им своими десницами и языка- ми. Они будут сражаться, бороться и браниться для того, чтобы мусульмане ста- ли неверующими. Воистину, именно это является целью и задачей неверующих.
