This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتُضْعِفُوٓا۟ أَنَحْنُ صَدَدْنَـٰكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْهُدَىٰ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَكُم ۖ بَلْ كُنتُم مُّجْرِمِينَ 32
(32) Предводители неверия станут возражать обездоленным, пытаясь доказать, что каждый из них самостоятельно принимал решение. Они скажут: «Мы не при- нуждали вас к неверию силой, и вы имели возможность отказаться и не последо- вать за нами. И хотя мы ввели вас в заблуждение и приукрасили в ваших глазах неверие, мы не имели над вами никакой власти».
