Al-Baqara
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ إِنَّ ءَايَةَ مُلْكِهِۦٓ أَن يَأْتِيَكُمُ ٱلتَّابُوتُ فِيهِ سَكِينَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ءَالُ مُوسَىٰ وَءَالُ هَـٰرُونَ تَحْمِلُهُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ 248
(248) Благородный пророк не довольствовался тем, что сообщил о способностях Та- лута и его прекрасных качествах, которые так необходимы предводителю. Он сказал, что знамением его царствия будет явление ангелов, которые прине- сут сундук с миром и спокойствием от Всемогущего Господа. Этот сундук за- хватили враги израильтян, и в нем хранилось то, что осталось после семей Мусы и Харуна. Израильтяне не довольствовались тем, что Талут действительно обладал прекрасными нравственными качествами и был назначен Аллахом устами Божьего пророка, пока своими глазами не увидели чудо. Но, увидев его, они со- гласились повиноваться и покорились воле Аллаха.
